This is my beautiful daughter and her husband on their wedding day. They are now happily pregnant but with significant complications. She's had back issues for years, but since becoming pregnant they've gotten much worse to the point where at 18 weeks pregnant she was put on bed rest. Her husband is unable to work because she needs 24hr care. She does not have short term disability. Long term will kick in at 3 months, but until then they are barely scraping by. Savings has been spent on all the copays for her specialists. She has been told there is a high probability she'll need back surgery during her pregnancy so paralysis does not occur. To make matters worse they found out 2 days ago she has a large chorioangioma on her placenta. This is a tumor that can cause many complications to the baby to include congestive heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, etc. A surgery can be done, but either way we know this baby has to come early. That will mean days in the NICU. She is so stressed right now between worrying about the baby, her own health and financial issues. Please help me take one stress off her plate.
