Support for Evan Rothbauer

Mark, Megan, Michele, and Wade were given quite the scare last Thursday... Our twelve-year-old Son Evan was hit by a car on January 18th while walking from school.  A phone call no parent ever wants to receive.  I arrived at the site of the accident to find my boy face down in the street, shoes and hat knocked off of him, and a bone coming out of his leg.  According to the officers on the scene, we were very lucky, and Evan had a guardian angel watching over him.  Two ambulance rides and at least one long surgery later, he is healing.  It will be a very long road to recovery for Evan.  Evan currently has a perfect 4.0 GPA and is a gifted three-sport athlete.  So missing school and foregoing his basketball and baseball seasons are especially frustrating for him.    Unfortunately the man who hit Evan, did not have insurance.  Because of my cancer and recurring cancer over the past two years, medical bills are something my family has had our share of.  We now owe, at a minimum, a deductible of $6,350, with many bills on the way.  My family and friends have encouraged me to reach out to my support network, and ask you for help in meeting this super high deductible.  Thank you to any and all of you who are able to contribute, we feel so fortunate to be surrounded by such amazing and loving people.  Your help is not taken for granted!!!
