My name is Jill Lemr. I am a 9+ year resident of Ellington. During my time here, I have experienced how this town comes together to support their own in times of need. I am praying this will be one of those precious times.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help 2 young parents who have found themselves in an unpredictable situation, medically with their new baby boy. He is having issues breathing, and the doctors are not sure why. They are working hard to get him well. They spent time in the NICU when he was born, and then he was breathing well enough to go home. Well, just this morning, they had to call the EMT as he was struggling to breathe. He was air evac'd back to Children’s Hospital into the NICU. PLEASE, we ask that you all keep them in your thoughts and prayers! We also need to ask for financial assistance: missed work, behind on bills of necessity, gas, food (while unable to eat at home). I couldn't imagine being in such a situation. Please, let's come together and help this couple so that they don't have to worry about these things and can focus on the baby. Momma is extremely stressed and exhausted.

I never truly understood the NICU journey until I found myself walking that path as a mother.

Having a baby in the NICU is an intense experience that hits you like a giant slap in the face. Then it waits for you to shake it off and drop-kicks you in the stomach. Not only are you heartbroken and terrified of what’s to come next, you are also constantly on the verge of losing your mind completely from the stress, exhaustion, worry, and all the emotional ups and downs.

Let's take the financial stress/burden off of this momma's heart so that she can focus on feeling a little at ease as while being with her baby in the NICU.
