Support for Elizabeth’s Cancer Journey

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my first round of chemo was brutal. I couldn’t do that to my body again and began doing research on diet and alternative supportive therapies.  I have insurance and my company has high deductibles that have to be met first and my treatment has fallen between two difference fiscal years and insurance company changes. So right there I’m $13,000 out of pocket. Also, It turns out we all don’t have our own choice when it come to options for cancer treatment. The choice I have made for myself which is traditional therapy plus supplementing with alternative therapy is not totally covered by insurance.  I made this choice so my body can make it through without debilitating exhaustion and all the side effects of chemo. I feel like this choice to support my body is the best for me. So now I have the opportunity to treat my cancer with a supportive therapy that will allow me to be functional and recover quicker and has had great outcomes.
