Dorris Smith Sr. was a hard-working, caring man. He was a father, husband, great-grandfather, friend, and the best taxi driver you ever met.

Dorris was visiting his friends and family over the weekend and started to feel ill while eating breakfast, he asked someone to get him to the hospital and was coded as he arrived at the hospital. Dorris made it clear he did not want to be intubated again and wanted to go if it was his time, so we followed his wishes and stayed with him until he crossed over. We are accepting donations to go to his funeral services at this time. Funeral service will be Friday August 22nd, 2pm at Johnson’s funeral home in San Angelo Texas. We thank everyone for donations and prayers, as this is a very difficult time for everyone who knew Dorris. We ask that you pull out some dominos, grab a Budweiser, and play a game for the domino king. Rest in peace, Dorris Gene Smith Sr., you will always be in our hearts, and we love you forever.
