My family is facing an unimaginable tragedy. My brother, Donnie Garrett, is currently in the ICU after suffering a severe laceration to his head and skull from a machete. The injury has left him with an open skull fracture, possible loss of his eye, and some damage to his brain. He is fighting for his life, and we are praying for his recovery every day.

 On top of this, my nephew, Mathew Garrett, was shot and killed by police during an attack on his father. Losing Mathew has devastated our family, and we are struggling to cope with the pain and loss. Neither Donnie nor Mathew had health or life insurance, leaving us with overwhelming medical and burial expenses.

 The funds raised will go directly toward Donnie's medical bills, ongoing care after he is released from the hospital, and burial expenses for Mathew.
