Support for Dom, Minnie, Denver & Dawson

I have 4 amazing children and if you choose to support us, we thank you so much!

My eldest is at University studying Landscape Architecture. He has a HECS debt, works and pays for all of his expenses.

My daughter is bright, is in an excellence program at high school and would like to become a Lawyer.  She's a little bubble of fun and very self motivated.

Denver is also bright, participates in extension programs in Maths and Coding and would like to become a brain surgeon.  He was an exceptional learner in 2017 (or maybe 2018) which he was very proud about!

And my youngest Dawson, well, he want's to be a soccer/football player and play for any club that Ronaldo plays for (I haven't told him that Ronaldo may not be playing by the time he is ready to play for Portugal).

The little two are still at their primary school which has been incredibly supportive of our family for which I will always be grateful.

My son graduated from high school last year.  He loved his time at the school, loved his mates and I truly believe it has played a part in shaping him.

I maintained an honest and open relationship with my son's high school and have paid school fees in excess of $40K to the school and unfortunately my ex-spouse (who is permanently employed full time and runs a small business) refused to contribute, not even $1, even though we both signed the Parent Contract under joint and several liability.

We now have outstanding school fees and are being sued by the school separately.  My offer to the school (via their Lawyer) for a fortnightly payment plan was ignored and after waiting a month for a response, I ceased making repayments.

I have a hearing set for 6 November 2019 and if I cannot find the money to reach a settlement with the school before this date I shall have a judgement against my name which will impact my credit rating as well as impact upon the kids, their future education and our lives.  Last week I was advised by the school (via their Lawyer) that they can take who they like to court and their Lawyer advised the school is only taking me to court...I sat in the car and cried for about half an hour...why was the school doing this to me?  I was the honest person, I paid the fees, I supported the school and was respectful of the ethos.

I am already solely covering all of the kids health care, sports and technology costs as well as day to day living expenses.  In 2016 I had no choice but to self represent so I could keep a roof over our heads as my ex-spouse filed for parenting in the FCC.  I can't tell you how many visits I've made to the Women's Legal Service and Caxton Legal who both provide free legal advice.

Many years ago I was offered an observation by a mediator, who said, "he loves his children, but he doesn't want to pay for them".  This is the crux of my situation.   My ex-spouse is readily able to pay his lawyers and barrister, but as far as the kids are concerned, it is a completely different story.   It's very sad and I feel for my beautiful kind children as they are the innocent ones, they didn't ask for this.

Trust me, it's a little intimidating wondering if this fundraiser will be sitting at $0 in a week, but I'm reading the Alchemist for the second time and what's resonating is that I have to do something.

This GoFundMe is completely out of my comfort zone, but with the legal stance the school has taken I feel I have to give this a go.

Any donation would be appreciated.  The funding will be used towards payment of the outstanding school fees and any extra funding will go towards an education fund for Minnie, Denver & Dawson.
