<div>On February 24th, Diana was admitted to Westchester Medical Center after a routine check-up revealed a severe infection, localized in a small callus on her left foot. In a matter of 48 hours, the infection rapidly spread, resulting in significant damage and life-threatening complications, including sepsis and advanced vascular disease.
</div>

<div>Diana underwent three debridement surgeries to remove dead and infected tissue, followed by a major bypass surgery to restore blood flow to her foot in hopes to save her leg. Despite the medical team’s best efforts to control the infection, the damage caused was irreversible. Unfortunately, Diana had to undergo a partial foot amputation.

<div>Following her amputation, Diana was transferred to a rehabilitation center on March 16th, where she received intensive care and physical therapy for 6 weeks. While she has made progress, Diana’s journey is far from over. She continues to face significant health challenges and will require ongoing medical care, treatment, rehabilitation, and support for months to come.

<div>Due to this unexpected health crisis, Diana is unable to work. Her daughter, Whitney, has been by her side every step of the way—helping care for her while also working tirelessly to keep up with mounting bills, medical expenses, and day-to-day responsibilities.
