<div>My dad has been in and out of the hospital for a few years. Multiple hospital stays, ambulance rides, procedures etc. On Monday he arrived in Georgia so his daughters could help take care of him. On Tuesday he was in so much pain he asked my sister to call 911. The hospital found some sort of infection on his spine, and will have to perform surgery to treat/remove. They're worried that the infection might have spread through the bloodstream and cause bacteria buildup on the heart (which he's had open heart surgery on due to a congenital heart condition). So today they will be running a probe to look at it.

<div>I don't know how much his medical debt looks like right now. He has insurance through Kaiser and the VA and I think Medicaid or SS or both. I'm trying to raise funds to ease some of that financial burden on him and my younger sister, who will be his primary caretaker. As she has kids she also takes care of she could use all the help she can get.
