Support for Crescentia DeGoede

It almost feels impossible to put into words the magnificence of Crescentia DeGoede. Although she has held many titles and roles in her 36 years of life, all who have had the pleasure of coming into contact with her would agree that she is a superwoman. Simply put, she is a divine force who has impacted so many lives with her authenticity, courage and movement. As the loving wife to Leighton DeGoede and mother to 4 beautiful and spirited children (Rose (9), Elon (6), Sage (3), and Lily (1).), the DeGoedes have made Reading, PA their home and are surrounded by the support of both sets of grandparents as well as Crescentia's sister, Laura Cordero, and her family.

At the end of 2023, Crescentia discovered some shocking news pertaining to her health and life expectancy. Plagued with debilitating headaches for months prior, doctors discovered a tumor on the left side of her brain in December. She has now been diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), grade 4, the most aggressive form of brain cancer. While the DeGoede family is still discussing and finalizing treatment plans, Crescentia's life will be significantly shortened, pending a miracle. The family will continue to share details as they are ready, but the reality of her prognosis is difficult to imagine. If there was ever a time for her community to step up for Crescentia and her family, it would be now.

The challenges which have been abruptly thrust upon Crescentia's family are significant: financially, practically, emotionally, and spiritually. Financial challenges include daunting initial out-of-pocket medical bills exceeding $24,000, along with expenses to aid in the care of their household, and children as Crescentia bravely undergoes and recovers from treatment. With the reality of Crescentia's life expectancy being threatened, we want to alleviate all financial burdens for her family during this time so they can have the environment they need to do what matters most: cherish their precious family.
