Support for Cody McCulloch

On Thursday, October 3, our brother, Cody McCulloch, was preparing for the upcoming hunting season and experienced a traumatic fall 20+ feet from a tree in Coleman Falls, VA.  Rescue teams raced to him, but the mountainous terrain made his rescue difficult.  He was airlifted to Roanoke where doctors performed surgery for 5 hours on his lumbar spine that was broken during the fall.  He also sustained broken ribs and a wrist.  As of right now, the extent of his injuries are severe, and we won't know the full prognosis for some time.  

His faith in God, his love for his two boys, Easton and Tanner, and his love for "Walla Hallow” and the mountain are crucial elements of his life.  Cody is an avid outdoorsman, a modern day “mountaineer” and excels greatly at hunting and fishing.  His job is also very physically demanding and requires him to be in the best shape possible.

The next few weeks and months will be a tough journey for Cody, and our family, as he faces a long road to recovery.  Our sole focus right now is to get Cody to a rehabilitation facility where a team of specialists can begin to help him begin to heal.

We are so appreciative of the outpouring of love, support, prayers, and kind words that we have received since his accident.
