<div>My name is Jaime, and I’m reaching out for support as my daughter Cielo and I navigate an incredibly difficult chapter in our lives. Two months ago, I learned that Cielo had been harmed by someone we trusted, and during the investigation, the person responsible took their own life before facing charges. This loss has brought even more heartbreak, trauma, and a deep sense of lack of closure for both of us. The trauma has affected us deeply—Cielo faces daily emotional struggles, and I’ve been triggered by my own past experiences. We are both in weekly therapy sessions, thanks to the Mountain Child Advocacy Center, which has been a lifeline for us.

<div>  While therapy is helping us heal, the practical challenges are overwhelming. It is going to take time to get us back on our feet mentally and financially. I have faith that will get there. We both went to a dark place after her father's suicide and have struggled with it prior this this added truama. But just like we have fought for our lives after his death we will fight through this battle also.
