<div>My husband Christian has been detained since March now. This has taken a toll economically, emotionally and mentally.

<div>He is our foundation and head of household, we have a seven year old severe non verbal autistic son for which we have to go to therapy everyday for 3 1/2 hrs. I’ve had to completely dedicate my life to caring for my son. This is the motive for which I have not been able to find a steady job. My husband has an asylum case and has had his work permit for over 10yrs. He pays taxes. His court hearing has been suspended at least three times. They are currently trying to transfer him to Louisiana. This has greatly affected us financially as well because the little that we did have went to paying attorneys. I’ve been trying to find work in the free time that I have while our child is in school. I am two months behind on rent and electricity. This is a very ugly and traumatic experience for my son and I. My son misses his dad dearly. Our life is no longer the same. From one moment to another our life completely changed. I try do nails to make some money while my son is in school. So I beg anyone to please help us while God grants us the opportunity for my husband Christian to return home. He is not a criminal. He is a loving husband and caring father. Who was determined to create a better life for us all. We’ve been together for over eight years and I just really hope that this storm will pass and pray for an end to all family separations and that no more kids have to experience what it’s like to have to grow up fatherless.

He tenido que dedicar mi vida por completo al cuidado de mi hijo, razón por la cual no he podido encontrar un empleo estable. Mi esposo tiene un caso de asilo en trámite y ha contado con permiso de trabajo durante más de diez años; él paga sus impuestos. Su audiencia judicial ha sido suspendida al menos tres veces y actualmente intentan trasladarlo a Luisiana. Esto también nos ha afectado gravemente en lo financiero, ya que los pocos ahorros que teníamos se destinaron al pago de abogados. Intento buscar trabajo en el tiempo libre que tengo mientras mi hijo está en la escuela. Debo dos meses de alquiler y de electricidad. Esta es una experiencia terrible y traumática tanto para mi hijo como para mí; mi hijo extraña muchísimo a su papá. Nuestra vida ya no es la misma; cambió por completo de un momento a otro. Trato de ganar algo de dinero haciendo manicuras mientras mi hijo está en la escuela. Por eso, les ruego que nos ayuden mientras Dios nos concede la oportunidad de que mi esposo Christian regrese a casa. Él no es un delincuente; es un esposo amoroso y un padre dedicado que estaba decidido a construir una vida mejor para todos nosotros. Llevamos más de ocho años juntos y espero de todo corazón que esta tormenta pase; rezo para que terminen las separaciones familiares y para que ningún niño más tenga que vivir la experiencia de crecer sin su padre.
