My name is Maty, and I’m reaching out for support as my family faces a series of overwhelming challenges. My three-year-old daughter, Charley, was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 soon after she was born. This genetic condition has led to the development of tumors near her spine and on her optic nerve. She’s been experiencing pain, trouble sleeping, and difficulty eating, but through it all, she remains the funniest, sweetest little girl. Charley loves monster trucks, dinosaurs, Bluey, and baby dolls. She’s happiest when she’s camping, enjoying a cheeseburger, or sharing ice cream. One of her favorite things to say is, “Do you want to build together? Do you help?” as she brings out her Lincoln Logs to play.

 Charley’s diagnosis means she needs ongoing MRIs, ultrasounds, and blood work. Depending on how her tumors progress, we may need to travel to Denver, Salt Lake City, or Seattle for further treatment. This is a huge concern for us, especially since our car needs a major repair and my wages are being garnished for previous medical bills. We’re also worried about taking unpaid time off work to make sure Charley gets the care she needs.

 We live two states away from family and are doing our best to stay positive, but the emotional and financial strain is heavy. Support from this fundraiser would help us cover medical bills, travel expenses, car repairs, and give us some peace of mind so we can focus on Charley’s health and happiness.
