</div>
<div>On Saturday, Carlos Ernesto Guerra Cruz was detained following an incident and taken to a detention facility in Centennial, Colorado.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After spending the weekend in custody, Carlos called his wife, Yorliana, on Monday and told her that he was being released.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His family believed he was coming home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But Carlos never made it home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As Carlos was being released from custody, he was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He is currently being held at the ICE detention facility in Aurora, Colorado.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In a matter of moments, relief turned into fear and uncertainty.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Carlos’s wife, Yorliana, and their two children, ages 8 and 12, are now facing an extremely difficult and uncertain family crisis. They are trying to understand what comes next while navigating the legal, emotional, and financial consequences of Carlos’s detention.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Carlos came to the United States four years ago and has a pending asylum case.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His detention has left Yorliana carrying the emotional and financial weight of caring for their children while they cope with the unexpected absence of their father.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are raising funds to support Yorliana and her children during this emergency.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donations will help cover urgent legal expenses, rent and household bills, groceries and essential needs for the children, transportation related to the ongoing legal proceedings, and mental health support for Yorliana and the children as they navigate this family crisis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter the amount, will help provide stability for Yorliana and her children during this incredibly difficult time. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing their story.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will share updates as we are able while protecting the family’s privacy and the integrity of the ongoing legal proceedings.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for standing with Yorliana and her children during this difficult time.

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Su familia creyó que Carlos regresaría a casa.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Pero Carlos nunca llegó.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
