Support for Brittany Woolson & Family

Donation protected

 In the early morning of February 02, my sister, Brittany Woolson, was involved in a car accident that came dangerously close to claiming her life. She hit a telephone poll and spun across the street ultimately slamming into a tree. Four squads of the Millville Fire Department/EMS were dispatched to the scene where Brittany was found unconscious and unresponsive. She was extracted from the car and a helicopter was requested to fly her into Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ but due to weather conditions the helicopter was unable to fly out. She was transported by ambulance and upon arrival to the hospital she coded due to loss of blood from her extensive injuries and had to be brought back to life by the tireless efforts of the amazing trauma surgeons and nurses who attended to her.

Upon revival the doctors have laid out a plan of action to attend to her most severe injuries which include;
-a brain hemorrhage
-broken neck
-shattered pelvis
-broken hip
-broken breast plate
-compound fracture to her left arm
-multiple other broken bones.
These injuries are all severe and she is by no means out of the woods. She is still fighting hard for her life. There are multiple major surgeries she still has to undergo and, God willing she will survive these surgeries. Following surgeries to repair the damage done to her body she will have to undergo months of intense physical therapy in order to be able to walk again and many months more in order to regain full mobility of the left side of her body, if she does at all. The road ahead of her is going to be a long and painful journey.

As many of you know Brittany is the mother of two beautiful boys, Noah and Aiden. She is a beloved daughter to our mom, Sharon as well as an amazing big sister to Hailey and myself. My family has come together to be there for her and remain by her bedside. Unfortunately due to the financial hardship of staying at the hospital with Brittany and being unable to work, my mom is beginning to have the added worry of how she is going to be able to stay by her side due to her financial situation. This is all in addition to the stress of her daughter being in the ICU with life threatening injuries. We are incredibly fortunate to have family and friends who have offered to help in any way that they can but we did not want to ask for that help until we were 100% sure we really needed it. Anything you can donate will help with the immediate issue of being able to allow my mother to continue to take days off of work and remain by Brittany's side. Right now the added stress of how she can make remaining at the hospital financially work only compounds the amount of stress and anxiety she has to deal with in an already stressful situation. Beyond that, any donations made to this GoFundMe that are beyond my mothers direct financial needs to remain with Brittany will all go toward Brittany's medical bills which are sure to be an enormous amount. We are appreciative of any amount you can give to help alleviate this burden of financial hardship. While my mom and I are uncomfortable asking for this kind of help we are desperate and we would not be doing this if there were other avenues we could explore. We realize that there are plenty of you who are more than willing and happy to do so and we are incredibly blessed to have all of you in our lives.

While we are grateful for every dollar you donate; we are more thankful for the prayers, love and continuous support everyone has shown us during this trying time in our lives.

We will keep you updated in the next few days via this GoFundMe on Brittany's status.

God bless all of you,
Braylin Woolson
