<div>Last October, whilst on holidays during her midterm break, Brenda began to feel unwell and sadly received the utterly heartbreaking and life altering news, of her breast cancer diagnosis. As a result, Brenda, Chris, and their families’ lives have been turned upside down overnight. Her immediate family travelled to be with her in Hong Kong and are an incredible source of strength and support during what everyone can appreciate is the most unimaginably difficult of times.

<div>Brenda is an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend, and colleague. She is a passionate and experienced primary school teacher currently living in Hong Kong with her wonderful husband Chris and their adored young children Teddy &amp; Isla. Every one of our lives have been touched by Brenda’s infectious positivity, amazing good humour, kind and caring nature and she is someone who would do anything to help others. Our darling friend, her husband and very young family are loved and adored by so many circles of friends, near and far, and this a small way for friends and community to come together to offer our support to them.

<div>With her determination, the support of family, friends, and experienced medical teams, she has completed her first stage of chemotherapy treatment and has thankfully responded well. She will now proceed with surgery, followed by radiation and will continue with target and hormonal therapy for the foreseeable. The proceeds of this page will go directly to support Brenda’s ongoing treatment and the significant financial implications associated with it.

<div>We greatly respect their wishes of privacy and whilst we know their only request is for continued prayers for Brenda, we hope that this gesture, will allow those wishing to do so, to show their love and support from afar and be a small help during this arduous journey. Whilst we cannot currently be by Brenda’s side, she is constantly in all of our thoughts and prayers, and we know her strength, determination, courage and resilience will continue to amaze us and we look forward to brighter times ahead.
