Berlyn Berghuis tragically and suddenly passed away at the age of 16 on January 19th, 2026. Berlyn was a pure spirit who shone brightly on all who had the honor of knowing her. She shared a unique bond with her mother Mae and her father Brent. Their family unit was a triangular entity, and they have lost a pillar that cannot be replaced. The devastation felt by Berlyn's dear parents, family, and friends is immeasurable and indescribable.

 At times like these, many of us want to help, but we feel like there is so little we can do to ease the total loss the Berghuis family is feeling. This GoFundMe is one avenue for us to show our support to Mae, Brent, Drew, and the rest of the Berghuis family in this time of absolute pain and grief. Your donation will help cover any and all unexpected costs that occur when a child suddenly dies, including medical and funeral expenses.
