<div>Hi everyone! My name is Jade and I am making this go fund me for my Aunt Becky and her daughter, my cousin- Briana. Tragically, Briana was involved in a car accident on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. As you can imagine this has created some unexpected hardships - many of which are yet to come.

<div>Becky and Briana are very private people but I did get her permission to share this information so that hopefully we can come together as a community and support them as there is going to be a long road ahead.

<div>She is currently in the PICU. Since her admission to the hospital, they found her to have a broken pelvis (in two different spots), a broken arm, collapsed lung, several broken ribs, her spleen was ruptured and had to be removed, a brain bleed, along with damage to several internal organs. Initially, she was in a medically induced coma. We are learning each day about her injuries and the damage this accident has caused to her.

<div>Thus far Briana has undergone two surgeries. They were able to take her out of the coma and extubate her breathing tube. She currently has two plates and screws in her arm to repair that break. She also has rods on both sides of her pelvis and a bar that connects them lateral to her hips. These rods will remain in for at the least 6 weeks. The good news is that she is starting to have conscious moments and today was able to take a drink of juice.

<div>My aunt Becky is a single mother and sole provider for her three children and we want to alleviate this piece of stress if at all possible. She will be out of work for an indefinite amount of time while Briana heals and the expenses have only just begun to build. We are reaching out in hopes to at the very least provide them with a little relief financially so that Becky can focus on what's important.
