Support For Becca Price

On Sunday, February 23rd my daughter-in-law’s mom, Becca was leaving work when she experienced symptoms that made her feel apprehensive about driving out of the parking lot of her workplace. Jesse and Kiersten received a call from Becca asking them to come and pick her up.  On February 24th Becca went to the hospital where they did a CT Scan and then ordered an MRI.  The results from these tests revealed that she had 4 brain tumours and would need immediate surgery.  After the shock we all felt lifted, we as her family and friends are doing what we can to help and support Becca through this difficult time.

The first surgery on February 26th took 13 hours and one tumour was removed. This was the first in several surgeries that will be required we were told.  What comes next medically and recovery wise is still unknown to us.  What we are sure of is that Becca will need a lot of support to aid her through the coming months both during recovery and financially until disability assistance is in place.

Life is a gift, but at times like this it challenges us in ways we find hard to comprehend.  Life is fragile and can change in an instant.  This is one of those times for our family and I’ve heard that “it takes a village”, so I’m reaching out to the “villages” that surround our family to assist us to help Becca with some interim financial help so she can have peace of mind in knowing that she will not lose her home, her family will be taken care of and she will have some help with medical and recovery expenses.  This will enable her to focus only on her surgeries and recovery.
