Support for Ashley & Joey

Donation protected
Our amazing nanny for the past 3.5 years has provided us with support that far exceeds anything we could have ever imagined as we started our family with out any close relatives nearby. To meet and decide to leave your child with essentially  stranger is the hardest thing a parent can do. Or so I thought. She and her husband tried for a very long time to become pregnant. They ended up needing a bit of medical support to get the process started. We were excited to hear that it worked and soon they'd be expecting a little girl named Collette in early october. The nursery had been completed and all they had to do was wait out the next few weeks. Unfortunately, baby Collette passed in utero at 36.5 weeks.  Ashley wrote a beautiful tribute to their little girl: This isn’t the post I envisioned myself making. When I thought of this moment, I thought of posting a sweet picture of Collette in her going home outfit and some cute caption about how great of a dad Joey already was. Unfortunately, Collette lost her life, in utero, on September 8th. I was able to deliver her, stillborn, on September 10th. I wrote this post from the hospital, with my BEAUTIFUL (no really, she’s incredible) baby laying next to me, while my equally beautiful husband takes a well deserved nap. (Don’t worry, I’ve napped too) I was able to still deliver the way I wanted to - naturally, even though she was breech. Delivery was very quick and (mostly) not too painful. Collette was born 3lbs 9oz of perfection and 16 inches long. She has Joey’s chin, my big eyes, the perfect mix of both of our noses, and a full head of curly dark hair. The fact that we can’t take her home is obviously heartbreaking but we have been able to hold her, and love her as if she was earth-side. We are filled with so much love for her and will honor Collette while also trying to find some inner peace for ourselves. I truly held her every second of her life and I feel honored that I was chosen to do so. It’s been a very hard few days and we appreciate everyone being patient and supportive of us during this time.  I am asking for your help to help this beautiful family with medical bills, groceries, etc. The funeral home was gracious enough to fund the funeral proceedings. This fund will be helping them stay afloat so that they can start to recover physical, emotionally, and spiritually without having to worry how they will be paying for their bills.  Thank you so much for your support.
