Our mom, Amy, was recently diagnosed with a form of brain cancer known as Primary CNS Lymphoma. This type of cancer affects the brain and central nervous system, and it has already disrupted her daily life in significant ways. On Sunday, February 1st, her mobility was so affected that she had to be taken to Mercy Hospital by ambulance. She will be starting chemotherapy this coming week, and our family is rallying around her with all the love and support we can give. 
 
 
 Amy is the kind of person who would never want us to ask for help on her behalf, but she has always been the first to help others. As kids, we remember her handing out socks to children at the bus stop who didn’t have any in the cold. She’s known in the neighborhood as the lady who makes sure every child in need has a bicycle, and she’s made that happen countless times. During the government shutdown, her diner, Eggs &amp; Moore, started a pay-it-forward breakfast, feeding people for free. She’s also been a foster parent, taking in our two teenage cousins when they had nowhere else to go—all while raising us, her own children. Amy’s kindness and generosity have touched so many lives, and she has built a wonderful support system around her. 
 
 
 Amy is surrounded by her loving family—her five daughters, soon-to-be seven grandchildren, her parents, husband, and many siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. They are all offering their love, support, and prayers as she faces this challenge. 
 
 
 Now, Amy needs our help. She has been running her own business full time for many years, but she will be unable to work during her treatment. Unfortunately, she and our dad are currently uninsured, so the financial burden of medical bills and household expenses is overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward keeping our parents comfortable during this excruciating time—covering medical bills, house bills, comfort items, and anything else that could help them.
