On a day that changed everything, my son Lucas and I were both diagnosed with cancer. It’s hard to put into words the shock and fear we felt, knowing we would be facing this journey together. Our lives have been turned upside down, and every day brings new challenges and uncertainties.

 Lucas is unable to work right now and will need to stay home for a very long time without any income. We are preparing for several weeks of inpatient care at Riley Children’s Hospital, and the travel back and forth is already adding up. The bills are starting to come in for both of us, and we honestly don’t know what the full picture will look like yet. We are doing our best to stay strong and focus on each day as it comes, but the financial strain is overwhelming.
