<div>As many of you have heard by now, Alison’s husband, Parker, suffered a sudden cardiac event a few weeks after his 52nd birthday and never regained consciousness.

<div>In the days since Parker’s death, quite a few people have reached out asking whether there would be a GoFundMe. Alison and Parker have always been intensely protective of their family’s privacy, especially their two children's, and Alison would never want their story told in a way that felt exposing or defining.

<div>With her permission, we are sharing this much: Parker and Alison’s greatest shared priority was always their two children. They are extraordinary kids—wickedly funny and smart, creative, expressive, thoughtful, original, and very much their own people. As many families do, Alison and Parker spent years trying to understand and support what each child needed to thrive. They advocated for them, adjusted plans, and built a family life around helping them feel safe, supported, and known.

<div>Parker’s death has left an enormous emotional hole in their lives. It has also created uncertainty about the future. One of our hopes now is to establish a trust for the children, so there will be some resources available to help them with education, care, housing, or whatever form of support they may need in the years ahead.

<div>We are aware that asking for financial support can feel complicated, especially because Alison and Parker worked hard to build a stable home for their family. But Parker’s sudden death has changed the family’s financial reality. Contributions to this fund will go toward helping provide long-term security for the children as Alison navigates the unimaginable loss of Parker and the future they had planned together.
