<div>We are asking for your support for Alejandro, a young baseball player and a member of the Stetson Hatters baseball team at Stetson University. Alejandro is in his first year at Stetson, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. He is a brilliant young man from Puerto Rico who came to the United States with big dreams, both academically and in baseball. Unfortunately, on Saturday morning, Alejandro suffered a tragic accident while riding his scooter.

<div>He sustained serious head injuries and severe trauma to the right side of his face, and is currently fighting through his recovery. Due to the severity of the accident, he had to be airlifted and is receiving medical care at Halifax Health Medical Center. This has been an unexpected and very difficult time for Alejandro and his family. As he begins his recovery process, the medical expenses, hospitalization, and time away from school and baseball continue to increase. Alejandro is a deeply respected and loved young man, and a valued part of the Stetson University and DeLand community. We kindly ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Now it’s our turn to be there for him.

<div>Estamos pidiendo su apoyo para Alejandro, un joven jugador de béisbol y miembro del equipo de Stetson Hatters baseball en Stetson University.

<div>Alejandro está en su primer año en Stetson, donde estudia un Bachillerato en Ciencias Ambientales . Es un joven brillante de Puerto Rico que vino a los Estados Unidos con grandes sueños, tanto en el ámbito académico como en el béisbol.
</div>
<div>Lamentablemente, el sábado por la mañana, Alejandro sufrió un trágico accidente mientras conducía su scooter. Sufrió lesiones graves en la cabeza y un trauma severo en el lado derecho de su rostro, y actualmente se encuentra luchando por su recuperación. Debido a la gravedad del accidente, tuvo que ser trasladado en helicóptero y está recibiendo atención médica en Halifax Health Medical Center.

<div>Este ha sido un momento inesperado y muy difícil para Alejandro y su familia. Mientras comienza su proceso de recuperación, los gastos médicos, la hospitalización y el tiempo fuera de la universidad y el béisbol continúan aumentando.
