SUPPORT FOR 1st GRADE TEACHER

On the night of March 17th, 2018, Mrs. Jenna Bange (1st grade teacher at Lincoln International Academy in Managua, Nicaragua) suffered a painful accident that resulted in a broken femur of her right leg, a fractured pelvis, friction burns all over her body and a serious wound above her left eye. She has undergone two surgeries, one on her forehead and another on her leg and is currently stable and recovering. The accident occurred when she was preparing to run an errand and she removed the wheel chock from one of the back tires and her vehicle ran over her, dragging her a few meters down a hill. Her leg bent across her body in the process of her rolling downhill trapped under the car. Luckily, her neighbors were quick to assist and called for an ambulance to get her the help she needed.

Mrs. Bange is a gentle, noble and caring person that has earned the love, appreciation and respect of all her students, her peers, her colleagues and the parents that have gotten to know her. She has a long road ahead of her for a full recovery, but we are confident she will. The medical bills for her current treatment and the costs of her recovery will be significant and this is a great opportunity to show her how much we care for her and thank her for the fantastic work she has done with our first graders.
