Support Flying For Veterans
Hi, my name is Brian and I think it would be amazing to be able to provide flights to our Nation's veterans. I'm raising funds to help start a non-profit organization called Flying For Veterans , the mission of which is to provide flights to veterans at no cost and for any reason.
I'm a disabled veteran myself. I was injured in 2005 while I was in Tikrit, Iraq when a car exploded in a traffic control point my platoon was operating.
For years I've known that I want to do something to benefit my fellow veterans. I've always wanted to become a pilot and now that I'm making that dream a reality, I want to use that skill to better the lives of those who have served in our Nation's military.
Providing these flights will benefit veterans in countless ways. Imagine being stuck in a hospital but you are healthy enough to leave the facility for a few hours. Flying For Veterans could provide an opportunity to experience sight-seeing flights for these veterans. Maybe there is an injured soldier but their family can't afford to travel to visit them in the hospital. Flying For Veterans would provide air travel to those family members. Perhaps there is a group of veterans who just want to take a trip together, Flying For Veterans could provide the flights for that trip. Flying for Veterans cold provide flights to medical facilities where veterans receive specialized medical care.
Through the course of starting Flying For Veterans I've realized that starting a non-profit comes with many financial costs. Your donation will help me to cover those costs and really get Flying For Veterans off the ground.
Those costs include expenses like:
- Certifications
- Paperwork Filing
- Legal Fees
- Licensing
- Marketing
- And if we are lucky, a tank of gas for our first official flight
