Firefly Advocates is a nonprofit organization based in Michigan, dedicated to providing legal assistance and advocacy for individuals who have been wrongfully imprisoned. Founded with a mission to fight for justice, we work tirelessly to shed light on cases of wrongful conviction, giving a voice to those who have been silenced by unjust legal outcomes. Our team consists of passionate legal experts, investigators, and volunteers who believe in the power of justice and the need for systemic change within the criminal justice system.

We recently helped free Duane Williams, a Detroit man who spent 12 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit. Through relentless investigation and legal efforts, we uncovered the truth and helped secure his release, allowing him to return home to his family and rebuild his life. This case is just one of many we have taken on in our fight for justice.

Currently, we are working on the case of Nosakhare Onumonu, another Detroit resident who is facing life in prison for a crime he maintains he did not commit. With your help, we are raising funds to continue the legal battle and provide him with the representation he desperately needs. Every dollar you donate goes directly towards case investigations, legal fees, and advocacy efforts to bring justice to those who have been wrongfully convicted.

Firefly Advocates operates with one core belief: that everyone deserves justice, regardless of their background, financial status, or circumstances. Our mission is to restore hope to the wrongfully imprisoned and their families, while also working to reform the justice system to prevent future injustices.

Your donation can change lives. By contributing, you’re not only helping people like Duane and Nosa find freedom, but you’re also supporting the fight for a more just and fair system. Please join us in making a difference. No amount is too small. Together, we can light the way to justice.
