Support Fifth Cellar

#SupportTheArts #FifthCellarFamily

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, theatre organizations across the United States have suffered significant setbacks, closures, and financial losses, and Fifth Cellar Productions is no exception. While our unique performance venue allows us the flexibility to safely resume our theatrical season this fall, we are currently unable to support our growing hometown theatre company without outside assistance. In the midst of this difficult time for the arts, Fifth Cellar Productions is asking for your help to continue producing accessible, important theatre and performance opportunities for our community, beginning with our fall musical, Kander & Ebb’s  Cabaret!

Unless we are able to meet our fundraising goal by the beginning of August, we will not have enough money to continue supporting additional Fifth Cellar shows. Your generosity will help us keep our momentum going!

Your contribution would go toward:
-Licensing fees
-Script costs
-Building deposits
-PPE for actors and audience members
-Costumes
-Set & lights
-Advertising

***All donors will receive recognition in this season’s programs, in addition to the gratitude of all members of Fifth Cellar Productions, current and future! Please share this campaign with the tags #SupportTheArts and #FifthCellarFamily to show that you stand with us, and with all arts organizations across America!***

About us:

(We are based in MadJax, an industrial warehouse in downtown Muncie, with a concrete stage lit by tinted work lights. (Pictured: empty performance area & partial set for  Shakespeare's  Richard III, 2020, our final show before quarantine.)

“Founded in December 2018 by a group of Ball State students, Fifth Cellar Productions (FCP) began as a means to create daring, relevant, impactful theatre in new and meaningful ways. We recognized the need in our community for a performing arts organization which was both diverse and adventurous, while also remaining accessible to all members of the public. Thus, our mission became to produce important pieces of theatre that otherwise would not be seen in our community, to provide performance opportunities to those who may not have them, and to make these productions accessible and affordable to all.”

Beginning with 2019's "Phantom: Reimagined," Fifth Cellar Productions has received overwhelming support from the community, and thanks to this we have built an organization which continues to grow and add new members to our team with each production. Our group is volunteer and nonprofit, and though our members come from diverse backgrounds (from biochem to education), we are united in our commitment to bring art and social awareness to our community.
