<div>On Dec 16th of 2025 in Back of the Yards, Don Federico was taken by ICE agents while he stood on the corner of 47th and Hermitage selling tamales and champurrado. The agents took him within seconds, leaving behind only the shopping cart he used to carry his merchandise around.

<div>Don Federico is 68 years old and suffers from heart problems as well as asthma. He is a hardworking man and has been living in the US for 30 years. Loved by his neighbors because he was a good person, Federico was always helpful, and even though he couldn't walk very well, he would even bring tamales to neighbors with disabilities.

<div>His family is asking for support in order to pay for legal fees and/or to give Federico a chance to rebuild his life in Mexico if he so chooses.
