Support Families in New Delhi

As you have probably heard on the news, India is being hit exceptionally hard by COVID right now. New Delhi is the hotspot for the outbreak. The city is on lockdown with cases rising everyday and limited supplies for testing and treatment. It is not safe for people to leave their homes. We are asking for donations to help families in Delhi who are struggling to pay for their basic needs because they are unable to go to work.
These donations will be given out and organized by an Ashiana, a small, not-for-profit agency that is working with families who are infected and affected by HIV in India. They monthly food rations and health care to these families.
The Didi Jewelry Project partners with Aashiana. Didi financially supports the 15 women who make the jewelry and their families.
They also give a monthly donation to Aashiana to help support the other families.
Didi is still supporting all the members of the Didi Jewelry Project, but is unable to support ALL the families. Your donations will help these families meet basic living expenses, food, water and rent. Our aim is to help them feel safe and less vulnerable. We also strive to keep them loan-free during this pandemic and discourage panicked mass movement back to their villages which potentially exposes them to COVID-19
