<div>Erik is only 20 years old. He is a kind, hard-working young man who has always been a responsible, upstanding member of his community. He goes to church every Sunday, has absolutely no criminal record, and has always paid his taxes on time, his only "flaw" was not having legal US citizenship. As the main provider for his mother, they depend entirely on his income for rent, groceries, and daily survival. Now, not only is his mother facing the heartbreak of her son being detained, but she is also facing an immediate financial crisis without his support.
