<div>My family and I are reaching out and asking for financial support on behalf of my sister Erica. She is currently at Maine Medical Center recovering from brain surgery. Since Erica is a single Mom, she works full time to support her children - her daughter Kadence (11) and son Easton (7). Recovery time for a craniotomy of her scale is 4-6 weeks, but because of Erica’s rare factor V deficiency (meaning her blood is unable to clot), she is high risk for brain bleeds and will take far longer to recover and return not only to work, but normal day to day life.

<div>Erica is also in the process of moving into a new home at the end of October. This will make paying for her first, last, and security deposit extremely difficult given her circumstances and recovery time.

<div>Erica is one of the strongest people I know. I have no doubt she will do everything she can to recover and return to normalcy, but there is no denying the severity of her situation. Her tumor, which she has named “Tammy” is 19mm in diameter - closely resembling the size of a strawberry. Tammy is located on a main blood vessel. This means the surgeons were unable to remove the entirety of the tumor and will subsequently continue to slowly grow, and Erica will need to have surgery in the future to keep Tammys growth at bay.
