We’re asking for some help to get our dog, Emmy, back to health. While away, Emmy got into a pill bottle of baclofen (a muscle relaxer) and was found unconscious by our dog sitter. A complete freak accident, we still don’t understand how she got ahold of it. We were on the drive home from NC when we got the call and the rest of the day is a blur. Thankfully, our amazing dog sitter was able to get Emmy to the ER. The first ER used all of their resources and had to transfer her to a critical hospital. Emmy was intubated (breathing tube) over night and given lipid therapy to help rid the toxins from her body. We are beyond heart broken.

If you know Emmy, you know she is the sweetest, funniest and most lovable dog. Her favorite things to do is snuggle with her daddy and play with her sister, Jade.

The vets at the critical care hospital are doing everything in their power to bring her back to health, but it is extremely pricey. How can one be given a large bill amount while their dog is fighting for their life and needing to make a decision on the spot? Emmy is our baby, only 4 years old with a whole life ahead of her, and we will not give up on her.
