<div>Emilia "Emmie" Somerville is a sweet, smart, and funny kid of Michael and Kate. Before she could read or talk, she would sit by a bookcase, pulling each book off the shelf, but not with destruction, with curiosity. She'd carefully look at every single page, deep in thought, as if she already understood the colorful pictures and rhyming words. As her babysitter, I promised her parents that this was a unique character trait. Never had I seen a young kid so captivated by the page. And so, Emmie grew and then became a big sister, to little brother, TJ. As she grew into a little charming princess in this happy family of four, unfortunately, something else grew inside her. Leukemia. And everyone who was blessed in the kingdom of Princess Emmie was brokenhearted. Alas, science works miracles and New York City offers some of the best medical care in the world. Emmie has a turbulent journey ahead, but like most princesses, she will prevail, gloriously. But the family could use a little support as medical bills pile up! Michael, a stand up comedian, is unable to do the road for next 9 months while his daughter undergoes treatment. Please, and thank you, donate to this wonderful family in their time of need.
