<div>Hello everyone. Our dear family and friends, the Davis family, could use help and support from the community at this time. On Wednesday May 8, the youngest member of the family, Emily, was riding her bike with her brother and a family friend while heading home after visiting her mother at her salon. On their way home an unfortunate and tragic accident occurred when Emily was struck by a tow truck in Egg Harbor Township. Thanks to the quick response of bystanders and the EMS team that was on site, Emily was transported to a local hospital and then transferred via helicopter to Cooper Medical Center due to the extent of her injuries. Some of her injuries include broken legs, fractured pelvis, collapsed lungs, along with many others. The blessing is testing has shown Emily’s brain function remains intact.

<div>While at Cooper, Emily has remained in critical condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit where she has undergone multiple blood transfusions and surgeries to stabilize her condition. These include vascular surgery to repair her femoral artery and blood flow to her leg, intestinal removal with reattachment, and the next surgery will address the repair of her pelvis with the aid of plates and screws.

<div>It goes without saying that both Emily’s parents, Danielle and Jerry, have put life on hold to be with Emily and provide comfort to Emily’s brothers, Dylan and Jake, during this time. Many have asked how they can help the family, so this Go Fund Me campaign was started to help with the financial burden the family is going to be facing between loss of work, medical bills, and the future treatments Emily will need to fully recover.
