<div>Emelia's fight against breast cancer started early last summer with a stage two diagnosis. She went through life altering surgery and four months of grueling chemotherapy. Radiation treatment followed in quick succession. Just when she thought it was over and recovery was in sight, a growth was identified on her kidney. She underwent another surgery, which was successful, but caused an internal bleed and more hospital stays and procedures.

<div>Through it all Emelia's kept a smile on her face and made us all smile too with her hilarious fit checks (and fashionable styles) in even horrid hospital gowns.

<div>We believe and trust God that she's at last on the mend and working her way down the long road to recovery. Unfortunately, all of the surgeries, treatments and complications have kept her from work, exhausted her FMLA, and left her with a financial burden she has no choice but to bear. Her focus Bible verse for the year has been "the joy of the LORD is my strength". It is our hope we can add to her joy by bearing some of the financial burden with her. Any gift is appreciated and will help so much.
