<div><strong>At just 22 years old</strong>, Ellie had recently graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in May, and had only just began her journey to become a physician at the UTHSC College of Medicine in August.

<div><strong>She had long been a leader to her fellow classmates and community</strong> at both schools, being a member of the <strong>Chi Omega sorority</strong> and <strong>Scholar's Program</strong> at Martin and was elected to her <strong>Class Council</strong> at UTHSC shortly before her life was ended far too soon.

<div>On October 19th, Ellie was the victim of a <strong>senseless act of violence. </strong>After a long week of studying to become a doctor, she decided to spend her weekend participating in a Breast Cancer Awareness walk, which ended in her tragic murder.

<div>The world will no longer have the chance to see all the Ellie will become, and <strong>the people she would have helped one day will no longer be saved by her brilliant mind and unparalleled compassion</strong> all due to the cruel actions of a person who could not stand to see her thrive.
