<div>Hi everyone. This is Paul Sherr (Squirell) from the Farm’s Trucker's Alley, Bandland and the Wood Crew. My Bro Steve Huddleston and I have always kept in contact ever since the Farm, and Steve recently went to see Elk (Edward) Zion in Spokane. Elk is disabled with Parkinson’s disease. He's married, but his wife (Joe Ellen) is disabled too. She can work, but not fulltime. Elk has an awesome sister, Rebecca, who is in with us in this go-fund me, and who lives about 3 hours away from him. It's difficult for Elk to speak clearly. His motor functions are compromised. In turn, his abilities to handle activities of daily living (to include walking and feeding himself) are compromised. Needless to say, he can’t work. He lives in a group adult home near his wife and gets to go home with her occasionally, but she can't really take care of him due her own health issues. That's why they have had to turn to a group home (I believe he has lived for several years now in a series of group homes). He is emotionally distraught and panicky. Elk was very recently hospitalized after a seizure, and was on tube feeding for a week or so.  He's out of the hospital and eating normally now, but he needs a bit of attention from us. It’s a tough situation for Elk and Joe Ellen. We all knew Elk as a kid/young man when his youth and wild personality were front and center. He was a Rock-n-Rollin force of nature, and it hurts to see him so desperate now. If those of us who care about Elk can pool some resources, we can (A) let him know we care, and (B) help get him home much more often with his wife (she will use the funds to hire an assistant for Elk's visits. If anyone who reads this can give Elk and Joe Ellen a gift of a few bucks, Elk’s sister Rebecca, Steve Huddleston and I will make sure the funds are properly invested and used for Elk and Joe Ellen’s exclusive benefit. I’d love to see if we can raise $25K for them. If a thousand folks give $25.00 each, we have $25k ! Five Hundred folks @ $50.00 apiece is $25K! I’ve gotten the ball rolling with the first gift. In closing though, I’d say that the most important thing here is for Elk to know that there are people out here that care about him…like we are all together again at a gig in First Road Meadow. That would be the best part. In the meantime, however, every $$buck counts! Rebecca is going to add her own paragraph below to reach out to people who don’t know Elk from the Farm. <div>Hi, the is Elk's sister Rebecca.  Hi to all of the folks who know my big brother Elk from outside the farm or through family connections. You might know him as Eddie or Edward. He's in a tough spot right now.  As Paul mentioned in the paragraph above, Elk is fighting Parkinsons. The adult homes he can afford to live in leave a lot to be desired, and Joe Ellen does not have the funds or stamina to care for Elk full time, and he does need (more or less) full time care.  If anyone can chip in to help them, if even 5 or 10 bucks, every little bit counts.  We are hoping to just boost up his quality of life.
