<div>Hi, my name is Elizabeth, and on July 31st of this year, my life changed when I found out I have a brain tumor. After months of symptoms—numbness in my face, thunderclap migraines, dizziness, balance issues, trouble swallowing, and hearing loss—I finally had an MRI. That’s when doctors discovered a 4.5 cm meningioma on my brain. Thankfully, it is benign, but because of the size and location, it is considered “difficult” on the surgical scale, and I will need two brain surgeries to remove it.

<div>So far, I’ve had two MRIs (the second with contrast), as well as a hearing test, and I am waiting for my neurosurgeon to confirm my surgery dates. Because of where the tumor is, my doctor has had to consult with colleagues to plan the best approach. Each surgery will put me out of commission for at least two months at a time (estimated four months total). During recovery, I won’t be able to drive, work, or even do simple daily activities.

<div>In addition to the brain tumor, I also struggle with bile reflux, which causes me to vomit almost daily and triggers severe migraines. This has made everyday life difficult even before my diagnosis. Now, facing months of treatment and recovery, the challenges ahead feel overwhelming.

<div>I’m a single mom, and my greatest concern and motivation is making sure I can heal and still be there for my son. I want to give him the love and stability he deserves, even while I face this battle. But with medical expenses, bills, and months of lost work ahead, I can’t do it alone. That’s why <strong>I’m asking for help.</strong> Any donation—big or small—will go directly to covering living expenses, medical bills, and the essentials we need while I recover from surgery.
