Help Elizabeth and Baby Easton Through Their Fight

Hi, my names Mercedes.
Our family’s world has been turned upside down.

My sister-in-law, Elizabeth, gave birth to her baby boy, Easton, at just 25 weeks on 12/8/25. Instead of bringing her baby home, she has to leave him in the NICU, surrounded by machines, wires, and monitors. For the next few months, Easton will be fighting for his life, and Elizabeth and my brother will be fighting right alongside him.

Elizabeth and my brother are both special needs, and they are doing everything they can to stay strong in a situation that would break anyone’s heart. Every day, we’re going to be traveling back and forth to the hospital to sit by Easton’s bedside, talk to him, hold his tiny hand, and pray over him. Those moments mean everything to us.

But the reality is, the cost of gas and transportation, any unpaid medical bills, his needs, her needs. What seems small each day has added up to something they simply can’t keep up with, especially while they’re already under so much emotional and financial stress. They should be focused on their baby boy, not on whether they can get to the hospital or pay for what is needed.

On top of that, because Easton came so early, we have nothing prepared for him yet — no clothes, no diapers, no wipes, no crib or bed. We weren’t ready, and now every resource we have is going toward making sure Easton parents get there everyday.

We are asking for help not only to cover gas and travel expenses, but also to help us begin gathering the basics that Easton will need when he finally gets to come home. Any support brings them one step closer to being able to focus solely on the baby’s healing and their future together.

If you’re able to give, please know that no amount is too small. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page and keeping Easton in your thoughts and prayers means the world to us.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for loving our family, for standing with Elizabeth, my brother, and baby Easton during the fight of their lives.

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for and supporting our sweet baby Easton. He is still fighting so hard in the NICU, but this week has been especially tough. He’s lost a little weight and is now down to 1.5 pounds. Seeing his tiny body struggle is heartbreaking, but he continues to show us what a warrior he is. We are so incredibly grateful for the love and donations we’ve received. If you’re able to share or contribute, it truly means more than words. Every little bit helps us stay close to him while he continues his fight.

Thank you for lifting this family up.
