Elias Sanchez has been a pillar of the SWAMP mountain bike community for many years, always ready to lend a hand, guide a ride, or help someone get back on their bike. As a friend for over 11 years, Paul has seen firsthand how Elias’s generosity and kindness have touched countless lives. Whether teaching someone how to fix a flat tire or helping a family afford a bike, Elias has always put others first, making the SWAMP community feel like home for so many.

 Recently, Elias received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 colon and liver cancer. This news has turned his world upside down, and his family is now facing overwhelming medical bills and living expenses. The cost of treatments, massive co-pays, and the challenge of keeping their household running have created a financial strain that no family should have to bear alone. Pat, Elias’s wife, has long been the heart of SWAMP—organizing rides, supporting members, and keeping the community strong. Now, Pat is handling the withdrawals and managing their needs during this difficult time.
