I am Harrison Peter Kpartipa, and I am proud to support The Irene Christina Reinking Foundation, an organization dedicated to uplifting the community of Goboawatu Village in Bong County, Liberia. Our mission focuses on providing education, healthcare, and agricultural development to one of the poorest regions in the world.
In Liberia, access to education is a significant challenge. The Human Rights Measurement Initiative reports that Liberia fulfills only 37% of its educational obligations based on income levels. Many children in Goboawatu must walk approximately 7.5 miles daily to attend school in neighboring villages. This journey is not only exhausting but also dangerous. The Irene Christina Reinking Foundation has already established a primary school, but we need your help to build a much-needed library that will serve as a vital resource for our students and the community. Our goal is to create a welcoming space filled with books, technology, and educational resources that inspire a love for reading and learning.
In our school, many students lack access to books and educational materials outside of the classroom. A library will not only provide them with the resources they need to succeed academically but also foster a sense of community and encourage lifelong learning. Currently, students have limited opportunities to explore literature, conduct research, or engage in creative projects. By investing in their education, we empower them to create a brighter future for themselves and their community.
We envision a library that:
