Support for children's education in Ghana
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Aylina and I'm currently volunteering at the Miracle Works Educational Complex in Senya Beraku, Ghana.
The organisation is determined to make education accessible to every child in the town.
Often children in the Senya Beraku community don't have access to a proper education because their parents cannot afford to send them to school. Miracle Works Eduactional Complex reaches out to these children and their families, enabling them to send their children to school.
They also provide the children with food, clothing and school supplies, cover the costs when a child needs medical attention and much more.
At the moment I'm helping the NGO with one of their construction projects, where we're building accommodation for future teachers.
We are building the houses so that teachers who want to work at the Miracle Works Educational Complex but live too far away can move to Senya Beraku.
This is important as the school currently has too few teachers, making it difficult to educate the children properly.
The accommodation is also very close to the school, which means that the teachers can also look after the children who come to school early.
When I arrived, the brickwork for one of the teachers' houses was almost finished.
The next steps will be:
- Plastering the walls, which we have already started
- Painting the walls
- Finishing the ceiling
- Installing electricity
- Furnishing the room
Any donation from you would be a great help in completing the project and helping the NGO in their efforts to educate the children of their local community in Ghana.
Thank you!
