In 2002, I traveled to Tanzania for a multi-year service learning project with the organization now known as All People Be Happy. There, I met two remarkable friends: Juma Masi and Joseph Sekiku. Together, we worked on projects that included building an orphanage and supporting local communities. Over the years, I’ve witnessed their unwavering dedication to uplifting those around them.
Juma leads WOMEDA, a project in Kahundwe Village where nearly 300 children between the ages of 0 and 6 have no access to early education. The village government has donated land, and the community is contributing labor and materials, but they need help to finish the school. Without this support, generations of children risk remaining trapped in poverty and illiteracy. Your donation will help complete the school’s construction, provide books and supplies, and give these children a chance to succeed.
Joseph Sekiku, founder of FADECO, has spent over 30 years empowering farmers, women, and youth in rural Tanzania. Now, as he approaches his senior years, Joseph is starting a small poultry farm to support himself and continue serving his community. Donations will fund the construction of chicken housing, purchase birds, vaccines, and feed—helping Joseph remain independent and purposeful.
