Hello! I am trying to take up a collection for my sister, Edna.

This last couple of years have been pretty tough for her. Several things happened to her that I am hoping to help her with. She has had a hard time with jobs due to back issues and an illness that landed her in the hospital for a couple of weeks. This started before her hospital stay, as she has been in severe pain for a long time with several underlying issues. This caused her to lose her vehicle as she could no longer make her payments.

Her hospital stay was severe, and she had a close brush with death as she had a bad infection that led to surgery. They could only complete part of the surgery as her insides were turned into a gelled-together mass of organs, so they couldn't complete the full surgery until the infection was under control. She has been on long-term antibiotics trying to keep the infection at bay, and now, 6 months later, she will complete the surgery.

The problem is that she has no home. The state is helping to keep her in a motel but may not cover her motel for recovery time. She has no vehicle to get her to and from appointments. She can't work enough hours to qualify for health care yet makes too much for the state to cover all her expenses.

We are just trying to raise money to keep her in the motel for recovery time, help with her ever-increasing medical bills, and possibly get her a beater car to get her through until she can get back on her feet. Seriously... ANYTHING helps! So if you can spare a little to help her out, my whole family would be eternally grateful! If you can't help, we understand, times are tough!
