In the name of God, The most compassionate, The most Merciful. My name is Edna Booze, I am a 93-year-old grandmother. I am a resident of Baltimore, MD, who has been fighting for 18 years to prove my grandson's innocence. He was framed by corrupt Baltimore city police officer Wayne Earl Jenkins for a crime he did not commit and has always maintained his innocence. I have reached out to and wrote to whoever I believed would listen and be able to help. I wrote to the White House, congressmen, the mayor, and the governor, no one responded, but I did not lose faith. The truth would prevail, Officer Jenkins was arrested for his corruption as a crooked police officer and convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison. My grandson's case has been re-opened and we're waiting on the judge to rule on his case, it has now been 1 year and 5 months.
I haven't been able to hug or kiss my grandbaby in 18 years due to his visits being behind a glass window. I haven't seen my grandbaby in 7 years since my daughter passed. My health is fading, my treatments are taking their toll. I wrote to my grandson's judge and explained to him that I live alone, I have no caretaker. My heart doctor and kidney doctor also wrote him letters along with my medical records explaining to him that I need 24/7 care and that my health insurance does not cover in-home nursing. There is a lawyer that has been successful in getting great results. I have spoken with him and he explained that my grandson fits the criterion where that law allows him to be able to come home on home confinement pending the outcome of his appeal. There have been 1200 releases due to those corrupt police officers since their arrests and convictions. The lawyer is asking for $8,000.00 to file this motion and bring my baby home. Unfortunately, I am unable for the first time in 37 years to help my grandbaby. I am asking for any help from those who are able to do so. I would love to just spend whatever time I have left with my grandbaby. Thank you all for just taking the time to read this. May you all be blessed. Grandma.
