Grassroots Advocacy for Rojava

The Emergency Committee for Rojava needs your help to scale-up our work advocating for the people of North-East Syria, and their inspiring movement for grassroots democracy, women’s liberation, ecology and cooperation. In the midst of Syria’s bloody civil war, Rojava has become a beacon of hope for peace in the Middle East, developing practical community-based alternatives to the world’s prevailing power systems under the leadership of the Kurdish freedom movement. Supporting and defending Rojava through grassroots advocacy is ECR’s core mission.

 

Help Us Grow the Movement

We have spent much of the last year launching the #RojavaMustSurvive campaign, bringing together dozens of grassroots partners from around the world to demand emergency relief and political recognition for Rojava. As a part of these efforts, we’re working to educate the public, directly engage elected officials, and build broad-based support for urgently-needed policy changes. From phone-banking and lobbying to study groups, speaking events and coalition-building, ECR is working to build the kind of solidarity movement which Rojava needs and deserves.

 

But right now, we need your help to sustain and expand our advocacy. Reaching our goal by the end of this year would provide us with the crucial resources required to sustain our advocacy, bolster our educational work, and grow and support our incredible base of volunteer activists.

Rojava is Under Attack

From Turkey’s escalating military aggression to COVID-19, record drought, ISIS attacks and economic embargo, North-East Syria currently faces threats at every turn. That’s why we feel it is more important than ever to build a robust international solidarity movement in defense of the Rojava revolution. We believe ECR has an important role to play in such a movement, and we are grateful for any support you’re able to give
