<strong>Doug Hubner</strong> is Jason’s father, and he is the kind of man who taught his family the value of hard work, strength, and love. Doug has always been fiercely independent, the person his family could count on for guidance and support. Now, after being diagnosed with an aggressive brain stem cancer, H3 K27M mutant diffused midline glioma, everything has changed. The disease has affected Doug’s mobility so severely that it has taken away the use of his right side, much like a stroke, and he now needs full-time help from his close family for transportation, washing, and daily care. Watching someone so strong go through this has been heartbreaking, and the emotional toll on Doug and everyone who loves him has been overwhelming. Jason and his younger brother Ryan are standing together to support their dad through every step of this difficult journey, doing all they can to help care for him and be there for their family.

 On top of the pain of this diagnosis, the financial strain has become more than the family can manage alone. Medical bills continue to grow, necessary medical equipment is needed, and the home requires a chair lift so Doug can move around more safely. Property expenses have also added to the burden during a time when the family is focused on caring for him every day.
