 Hello, my name is Erika and I am Doctor Dani’s youngest daughter. Recently, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I never imagined I would be writing these words or asking her community for help. My sister, Ayla, and I agree our mom is the most hardworking person we know and is incredibly strong, dedicated, and resilient. She has been navigating the difficult news and is approaching this journey - or as she calls it an “opportunity”- with determination and hope. She is working with an amazing team, preparing for surgery, and exploring every avenue of care and healing.

 Our mom has always been there for us, while also dedicating her life to caring for others, serving her community, and building relationships with clients she adores. Treatment has meant significant time away from the work she loves and a substantial loss of income, while the out-of-pocket expenses and an enormous increase in insurance costs has been overwhelming and inevitable. We are hoping our GoFundMe will give our mom the ability to focus on her health, navigate to a modified work schedule, and give her time to spend with her friends and family.
